Kevin King began his journey at Hanoverdale Church of the Brethren when he was called as Pastor in February of 2006. He began serving here full time on Sunday, June 18, 2006.
Kevin was born in 1964 in Winter Park, Florida. Following marriage to his wife Susan in 1987, he earned a BS in Marketing Management from Florida Southern College in 1989, and a BS in Elementary Education from the University of
Central Florida in 1992. He attended Andersonville Baptist Seminary, where he earned a MA Theology in 1999. He completed his PhD in Theology in 2005 from Andersonville Theological Seminary.
Prior to coming to Hanoverdale, Pastor Kevin had served as Pastor of Community Church of Orlando, Florida since 1996. He has a God-given gift for communicating God’s love, with a charisma enveloped in true humility that continually points to Jesus Christ. Two verses that daily impact his ministry are Proverbs 3:5-6 and Psalm 18:32. Proverbs states, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” In the book of Psalm we read, “It is God who gives me strength, and makes my way perfect”.
In his spare time, Kevin enjoys following the University of Florida sports [Go Gators!] and spending time with his wife Susan, and three children, Kaley, Austin, and Natalie.
